What i took with me

This is a sequel to my love hate relationship with Sydney. I learnt that we gotta let loose sometimes and live the moment. If its not now then when?

I learnt that being environmental conscious is not just by using less paper. Its a lifestyle which Singapore is only taking baby steps. I begin to bring my own bags to the supermarket. And know that the fauna and flora around me should be appreciated.

I learnt that in every country, you live in the city and you will become self-absorbed like everyone else who lives in cities. Our only past time is the TV and shopping. Its about spending money and more money. But when you live simply and enjoy your family activities, you wont need to spend much. And find no need for more things.

I think the people who live there are lucky. They have a choice between the city and the country side. And when they want a bit of city, they take a few hours drive once a month. Here, its only city vs city. Unless i decide to move to Pulau Ubin.

Thats why i love Sydney, despite its faults. I want to be in a place with such choices. I wish to let loose and run to the beach once i reach home. I want to say,'Hey lets go picnic at the park'. And it will be ok cos everyone is doing it. And instead of getting nice cakes and pies from only Coffee Bean, it will be so lovely when i can run to the simple bakery near my home and there they serve nice pies and cakes. And the smell from the bakery will fill the neighbourhood once they have fresh pies. Mmmm...
