In search for head cow

When i was in Thailand for holiday, while relaxing in the hotel room, i was watching Nat Geo.

A herd of african wild bulls are all infected with TB virus. A man wanted to breed a herd of wild bulls that were free from TB virus. As this virus will also infect other species including carnivores who feed on them.

His plan was to capture a herd of wild bulls. And in order to work his way in the herd, he has to work towards building a good relationship with the leader. Building that relationship is vital because if he wants to move the herd, the leader will move and the rest will follow.

He was successful in forging a good relationship with this she-bull.

There was a domineering bull that would like to charge at him. He runs to hide in a tree. The one that comes to rescue him from the tree was this she-bull.

I begin to realise a very impt fact in life. In a group, there is always a leader bull. He/She may not be your direct boss, but they are called the leader b’cos of their influence in the group. What they say can affect all. What they do, others will wanna follow.

I happen to work in a place where i spotted a few leaders. When you offend them, the whole office will start to hate you too.

This people are hateful but very impt in your strategic plans.

There are some people you dont need to ‘curry favour’ cos they dun bring you any benefit.

And there are some who are useful. These leaders are useful and its impt to be in their good books. (as much as possible)

Lastly, if you cannot out-smart them…tell yourself…they are the cows. Dont be like them. Join another herd. Its victory when you can be around them and not become like them.
